What We Offer

What 8&a1 Dance Works can offer your dancers!

8&a1 Dance Works offers choreography for 10 year olds to adults ranging from a single dance piece to a full evening length show including all music cuts. We also offer master classes in technique to pre-professional dance seminars, dance workshops for elementary, high school, and college levels. As well as dance pieces that can be choreographed, edited and placed onto DVD by 8&a1 Dance Works. Please look below to find out specific information on choreography and class description. We look forward to working with you soon!

Custom Editing and Splicing of Your Music

With 8&a1 Dance Works, there is no longer a need to hire both a choreographer and a person to cut and edit your music. For the past 4 years, Summyr and her husband, Nathan, have collaborated to produce dance numbers where the choreography and the music are created simultaneously. The director simply provides the music and the type of dance, and then 8&a1 does the rest. The end result will be a dance number in which the music and the movement flow as one.

We can put your custom choreography on DVD

The dance piece is broken down into chapters. Each section is 4-8 counts long, which makes it easy to navigate through the DVD.  This can be used as an easy reference if you have a question on the choreography instead of searching through dance notes. You can also purchase the DVD as an alternative to paying for an 8&a1 choreographer to come to your facility. This way you are still getting an 8&a1 dance piece without having to pay for the class time!
